this was honestly one of the most disappointing ramen experiences Iβve had. I ordered the duck ramen, which was nearly $40, and it was not worth the price. The duck tasted mostly like burnt seasoning, and the broth was surprisingly bland and lacked the depth and flavor youβd expect from a good bowl of ramen. The karaage was actually the best part of the meal. The service didnβt help the experience either. After we had already been seated and settled in, we were asked to move to another table to accommodate a larger group. While we agreed, it was inconvenient and not something you expect after youβve already gotten comfortable. The restaurant was also extremely loud, making it difficult to enjoy the meal or conversation. To top it off, the end of the experience felt rushed and unfriendly. The waitress came over, handed us the payment device and bill without asking how the food was or whether we needed anything else. It felt more like we were being rushed out than treated as guests. For the price, quality of food, and overall service, I left very disappointed. Unfortunately, I wonβt be returning.

Charming ramen place with a variety of options both from drinks, ramen dishes to other dishes and appetisers. There is something for everyone. The ramen broth was excellent, light and balanced but flavourful and brought me back in time to when I had ramen in Japan. Beautifully done noodles and other toppings. Service was very pleasant and quick, with very short waiting time for the food. The ambiance is very pleasant with casual but authentic vibes throughout with a lot of seating both inside and outside. Definitely coming back on my next visit to SF

I came to Hideyama Ramen today with my partner, and this visit was really disappointing, especially considering Iβve been coming here for years. On a positive note, my Tokyo Duck ramen was actually very good great portion and rich, flavorful broth. We also had gyoza and hot sake, which were enjoyable. However, my partner ordered the beef sukiyaki ramen, and when it came out, there was a thick, short, wavy hair in the bowl clearly not something that should ever be in food. This is a serious contamination issue. We tried to get our serverβs attention, and I understand it was busy, but being busy is not an excuse when it comes to food safety. Eventually, another server came over. We showed him the issue, expecting at least a proper apology or some explanation of what happened. Instead, he just took the bowl away and said a quick βIβm sorryβ no explanation, no reassurance, nothing. They brought out a new bowl of ramen, but at that point, the experience was already ruined. Itβs hard to continue eating normally after something like that, it honestly just stays in your mind. What makes this more frustrating is that Iβve been here many times before with friends, family, and coworkers,

Hinodeya is one of my favorite ramen spots in the city. I would rank it above marufuku. Both the house ramen(dashi broth) and the miso ramen are great. The crispy kale is a nice extra topping The karage and spicy tonkatsu are great but the real star is the ramen broth. It is light and the tare hits the spot. I also like that the chashu has a spiral cross section compared to marufukus shaved pork belly pieces. This allows it to break up more easily.
